Mykos Craft Kitchen & Bar — Interior Design Concept

A contemporary Greek-inspired resto-bar concept on Bannerghatta Road that blends Mediterranean lightness with refined urban hospitality.

Project overview

Mykos Craft Kitchen & Bar was conceptualized as a premium dining and social experience that reflects the relaxed sophistication of the Greek islands. The design integrates modern Mediterranean aesthetics with a refined urban sensibility, creating an environment that is both elegant and inviting.

Location: Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru
Theme: Contemporary Greek-Inspired Resto-Bar
Status: Concept
Scale: 120–160 seats (configurable)

Design approach

The spatial planning emphasizes fluid circulation, with seamless transitions between dining, lounge, and bar zones. The palette is defined by whitewashed surfaces, muted stone textures, and accents of cobalt blue — referencing the coastal architecture of Mykonos. Layered lighting and natural materials enhance the ambiance, promoting comfort during both day and night operations.

Key design moves

  • Clear zoning: front-of-house dining, intimate lounge pockets and an activated bar counter for social energy.
  • Sculpted arches and voids to create framed vistas and choreographed circulation.
  • Custom-crafted furniture and banquettes tuned for comfort and service efficiency.
  • Durable materials (stone-effect tiles, lime-wash finishes, metal hardware) calibrated for high-footfall use.
  • Cobalt blue accents and textured plasterwork to give a distinct brand identity.

Outcome

The concept balances aesthetic harmony, functionality and brand storytelling — positioning Mykos as a standout destination on Bannerghatta Road. Operational flows were tested for peak service, and detailed FF&E, lighting and finish schedules were prepared to support procurement and delivery.

Design & technical notes

Material choices prioritise tactile Mediterranean character and long-term durability: lime-wash and textured plaster for walls, hard-wearing stone-effect tiles for service aisles, and engineered timbers for furniture. Lighting strategy combines warm accent pendants, concealed cove washes and dimmable downlights to tailor mood for daytime brunches and evening service.

  • Service-first layout with clear back-of-house circulation and accessible service points at the bar.
  • Custom furniture designed for quick turnover and comfortable linger — modular banquettes, robust tables.
  • Integrated acoustic treatment hidden within ceilings and soft furnishings to control reverberation.
  • Detailed lighting schedule with layered controls for scene-setting and energy efficiency.

Execution highlights

  • Concept pack with plan layouts, 3D views and finish schedules for client review.
  • FF&E sourcing recommendations and supplier contacts for bespoke pieces.
  • Operational testing of circulation and service ergonomics during fitout planning.
  • Brand-driven décor brief to support marketing and identity roll-out.
